i must stress how utterly difficult the past few months have been without my friend, the computer. countless days were spent staring into the deep blackness of the lifeless computer screen, hoping with each finger and toe crossed for a small sign of life.

i guess i put it off so long because was terrified that it may have been irreparably damaged. irreparably damaged due to the bottle of beer that was shared between a good friend and my brand new laptop.
turns out the beer incident was not the cause of a black screen screaming about some "missing or corrupt file" and "system32\drivers\pci.sys"
so, after losing everything on my computer to failed attempts at restoring hardware, i took it to the professionals.
